TASTING NOTES

Aromas of black cherries, plums, spice and white pepper. Full bodied, velvety and elegant, with soft yet firm tannins. Long, lingering finish.

WINEMAKING NOTES

The grapes are hand-picked in late August from 15 to 25 years old plants. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 23-25°C for 8-10 days. After the malolactic fermentation the wine is racked and placed in stainless steel
containers.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

The Masseria Borgo dei Trulli estate is located in the heart of Salento and is owned and managed by Orion wines. Around 80% of wine produced at the estate is red produced from Negroamaro and Primitivo. Masseria Borgo dei Trulli is named after the traditional
Apulian dry stone huts with a conical roof. These are known as a "trullo" or "trulli" in the plural . Borgo dei Trulli covers a total of 45ha of land, including 25ha of vineyards.
